چکیده
Enceladus, with its subsurface ocean, is amongst the top priority targets in search for life beyond Earth. Following on discoveries from Cassini mission that Enceladus possesses a global ocean containing salt and organic compounds, there are many unconstrained properties of ice shell must be investigated to further assess habitability begin biosignatures Enceladus. In this paper, we present concept study New Frontiers class multi-lander orbiter investigates if or ever was habitable environment The architecture includes an detailed chemical analysis material erupted Enceladus’ plumes four impact landers geophysical measurements. As part our study, explore key trades orbital surface science, as well scientific potential hazards candidate landing sites novelty consideration both science elements makes work directly relevant broad range future architectures under consideration, such those identified 2023–2032 Planetary Science Astrobiology Decadal Survey.

Introduction: Combined lander-rover modeling is the transformational means for developing high resolution, color, three-dimensional representations of planetary features such as cave entrances and skylights. Lander-rover modeling combines registered overflight imagery with rover-based surface imaging techniques to build highly accurate co-registered models. The models produced by this approach ...
